Breevy ApS ("Breevy", "we", "us") operates the Breevy mobile application and website. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

When you use Breevy, we may collect:

• Account information: name, email address, and profile photo when you create an account.
• Location data: your GPS coordinates when you use the map, discover nearby gems, or check in. Location access is only active while the app is in use and can be revoked at any time.
• Usage data: which gems you visit, trails you complete, badges you earn, and interactions with the app.
• Device information: device type, operating system version, and app version for troubleshooting.
• User-generated content: photos, reviews, and gems you submit.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To show you nearby hidden gems and personalise your experience.
• To verify check-ins and award XP and badges.
• To display your profile, activity, and contributions on the social feed.
• To send you notifications about streaks, new gems, and friend activity (if enabled).
• To improve and develop the app based on aggregated, anonymised usage patterns.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Service providers: hosting (Hetzner, Germany), analytics (PostHog, self-hosted), push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging).
• Other users: your public profile, check-ins, and submitted gems are visible to other Breevy users. You can control visibility in your privacy settings.
• Legal obligations: if required by Danish or EU law.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on servers within the European Union. We use encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, and follow industry best practices for application security.

5. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
• Export your data in a portable format.
• Withdraw consent for data processing at any time.
• Lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet).

Our website uses only essential cookies required for the site to function. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

7. Children

Breevy is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
